Well i’ve not been very active these last weeks… but anyway here my first 2011 image.
Still working on that Spook model, very slowly, nothing much to show…Seeya later, and all the best 2011.

Yes! two post in a day…Did that shot with a MiG render one evening, trying to fake an hdr photo with photoshop. well , it doesn’t look really hdr, but more like an old picture. And it’s my wallpaper now :)

Mainwhile here are the state of the current projects: Unwarpping Finn’s Kittyhawk is neeaaaaarly finished. Most parts are done. Still have to decide if i use two or three 4096×4096 pixels maps and place the UV cells accordingly … cause now it’s a mess.

…Didn’t work much on the spook lately… only did the fin-rudder and some few details. I’m having difficulties finding good references on the back end of the arresting hook.

Did myself a few iPad wallpapers with some wireframe Spook renders i like.
But i have a problem… Why do some wallpapers, these in particular , appear highly compressed (like saved at low quality .jpg format) when they are set as wallpaper on the iPad ?!
And this even if i save them in Png or good quality Jpg. they look perfect in the photo album or other image viewing apps on the iPad, but as soon as they are set as wallpaper, it’s horrible :(
I’ve only found one page talking about this problem , here :

But it doesn’t give any solution… moreover this doesn’t seems to happen with every images . So i’ll really like to know why…

While i’m still slowly unwarping the Kittyhawk UVs and modeling the Spook, I take time to play with the iPad. Here is a iPad wallpaper done with SketchBook :

Color correction and resizing in Photoshop (cause sketchBook doesn’t make 1024×1024 images :/ ).
Tried to do a MacOSX icon with that. Increased the contrasts to make it more visible at small size… doesn’t look too bad. MacOSX only, sorry i don’t know how to do Windowz icons… Clic the screenshot below to download it.
